.:.VASKI.:.
(Rottun Recordings, Play Me Too)

When DJ/Producer Vaski sent his demo to rottun manager Excision, he had no idea of the journey that he was beginning. With his first two tracks storming the beatport top ten charts, Vaski hit the studio, returning to his Electro House production roots for the massive Terror Dome EP, featuring the self-titled track as well as the hit single “You Wouldn’t Understand,” Peaking again in the top ten of dubstep on beatport. Vaski’s productions and local DJ sets began to gain attention of international promoters and DJ’st. Vaski spent the next season DJing at many Twin Cities venues, playing at the famed First Ave, Dinkytowner, and The Loft all the while working on his next work. World on Fire EP shook not only the beatport charts but the entire dubstep community. All five tracks peaked in the top 25 in dubstep on beatport, two tracks in the top ten, and the famous “Get Down” claiming its rightful place as a number one hit. This massive release rocketed Vaski to where he is today: smashing through his international tour, gaining rapid popularity for his unconventional stage presence, and continuously producing ridiculous and catchy bass lines. On the horizon for Vaski is the continuation of his tour, and his biggest production to date.

.:.SYMBL.:.
(Simplify, Play Me, Subhuman, Trillbass)

In the world of bass-oriented dance music, SYMBL aka Rick Simons wears several different caps including producer, engineer, deejay, and, last but not least, speaker destroyer. With nearly a decade of experience manipulating low-end frequencies, SYMBL possesses an understanding of subbass not held by most musicians. As a producer, SYMBL’s tracks have seen several releases on prominent drum-n-bass and dubstep record labels. As an engineer, he’s molded the sound of some of your favorite tunes.

SYMBL made his first appearance on the international dance music stage with strong collaborations on dnb labels Outbreak, LTD and Hate Recordings with Silent Killer and Mumblz in 2005 under his Tek Infektion alias. Within months, he teamed-up with partner-in-crime James Osborn aka Point of Reference to form the now infamous group Arsenic, and the duo proceeded to take on drum-n-bass using their own brand of sonic deviance. The group’s melee spawned several releases on labels such as Freak and Evol Intent and garnered the support of heavyweight DJs Dieselboy, Mary Anne Hobbs, Technical Itch, Dylan, Current Value, SPL, Ewun, Chris Renegade, DJ Syze, Breaker, Audio, Kano, and Demo.

Late in 2008 as the world of dance music shifted towards dubstep, SYMBL began to stray from drum-n-bass into the new genre. The new direction found SYMBL in the studio with stateside dubstep pioneers TRiLLBASS crafting a thunderously distorted remix of the hip-hop anthem “Swagger Like Us”. The world-wide reaction to “Swagger” inspired SYMBL to spend more time working in the 140 BPM range, which, then, spawned the track “Crumbs” that was featured on Betamorph Recordings’ compilation Betamorphisis Vol. 1. This is also when SYMBL, the engineer, began mastering releases for dubstep labels Betamorph, Dirty Circuit, Savory Audio, Filthy Digital, Stupid Fly, Abducted, Dubfront, Dubsaw, Bass Punch, Bassweight and the newly formed Dub Cartel. 2009 saw the release of Meh., a solo LP from SYMBL on TRiLLBASS Digital Recordings and several collaborations with fellow dubstep monsters Mark Instinct and Richie August. Meh., was an expression of SYMBL’s desire to move beyond the dancefloor and wobble into new venues and soundscapes. Complimenting the esoteric Meh,., the latter portion of 2009 found SYMBL slamming out several dubstep bootlegs in his new Bro’d Out series including his massively infectious “City Lights” remix with Mark Instinct. If 2009 was the Year of Dubstep, it was also the year that SYMBL turned dubstep on it’s head.

The new year looks brights for the Midwestern LFO warrior. Between his solo efforts, a revival of Arsenic, and his new collaboration with DJ Syze, SYMBL’s name will never be far from the tip of your tongue in 2010.

.:.TRIPP SYNDICATE.:.
(Betamorph, Bro Town)
Featuring Nameloc, Ruckus & MC Anti

Overlooking Tripp Street in Chicago, Illinois is a room. Filled with subwoofers and computer screens, it was here that Tripp Syndicate first came to be. Nameloc, The Producer, Ruckus, The DJ, Anti, The MC, united to form a single unit. The unit’s purpose? Complete dance floor meltdown. With a combined 30 years in the game Tripp Syndicate has all of the training needed to accomplish it’s mission. These three shadowy figures bring a true spectacle to whatever venue they play. True four turntable sets, punctuated by the tectonic growl of an MC referred to often as “Chicago’s Madman”.

Nameloc’s crisp production stands out whenever he drops one of his tracks, and his machinelike timing makes him the permanent focal point of Tripp’s Sets. Ruckus’ psychedelic delivery and hip hop style turntablism puts the bounce in your step, his lightning fast dips into roaring baselines provides a touch of madness to the night.

Tripp in its short time together has already opened for some of the titans of the industry, such as: 6 Blocc aka R.A.W, HULK, Symbl, Trowa, Pendulum, VibeSquaD and Vaski. The list while potent does not eclipse Tripp’s Success at headlining its own sold out shows. It did however attract the patronage of Chicago label Bro Town Records and Florida based Betamorph Records. Together Tripp Syndicate delivers a powerful, energetic show, blown at crowds at a frenetic pace. Do not miss these bass junkies as they deliver high doses of dub to dance floors in your town.

.:.BANDIIT.:.
(Wolf Pack, Furthersound, Filth Cabin)

Bandiit is the creation of two Wolf Pack co-founders, Chris Hemstreet and Sean McCarthy or WSK and The Car Thief. With their conception in the summer of 2010, these two started playing together to form their passion for bass heavy musics on one stage to as many people as possible. Whether its one person, or thousands, these two bring a kind of energy and aura of people who truly have nothing but a passion for the music, and the urge to perform.

Playing along side some of dubsteps heavyweights, these two bring tunes to the picture that will rock you in your boots. Bring an open mind, and a good attitude and it will be impossible not to grove to the style that makes up the duo, Bandiit.

.:.BASSPHREAK.:.
(SUB Culture, floasis.net, Vibetribe, Wicked Records)

Lurking amongst Chicago is a dubstep prodigy that has engraved his footprints over the underground scene. Emerging away from normality, bassphreaK drops intense basslines welcoming an abnormal yet authentic version of dubstep. Ears of many gather to experience his transformation of conventional beats into his smoothly warped interpretation of music.

In his first year of playing out, bassphreaK has already played alongside Midwest producers and local favorites such as Richie August, Nameloc, Item9, Danny The Wildchild, Dottcom, AutoAxon, Boogymon, DJ Belly and bit[c]rush in both clubs and underground events from Chicago to WIU and has even headlined in Kansas City as well as at the 2010 Chicago Liquid Conference.

Never being one to disappoint, this year will not be one to miss as bassphreaK’s continued growth will only ensure bigger, better smashing sets for your dance floor pleasure.
