___________________________________________________________

.:.SKISM (UK).:.
(Never Say Die)

In little over a year, the mysterious SkisM has rapidly cemented himself onto the global Dubstep Map. Blasting onto the scene with his now classic debut ‘The Blank’, SKisM’s tracks have since received support from the likes Pendulum, Chase & Status, Scratch Perverts, Rusko, Nero and Plastician to name but a few. He has remixed chart topping Dubstep giants such as Excision & Datsik, as well as putting his inimitable production style on the vocal talents of UK rappers the Foreign Beggars & Envy.

Blazing trails through Club Nights all over the world, SKisM’s frantic 3 deck DJ Sets are gaining notoriety as fast as his musical output. With upcoming tours of Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Europe & America, SKisM’s Dubplates & Mixing skills have secured him a place amongst the busiest DJs of the Dubstep Elite.

http://www.facebook.com/WeAreSkisM

.:.ANTISERUM (SF).:.
(Rottun, Hollow Point, Dub Police)

Antiserum is currently on the 2011 US Subsonic Tour with Excision and Downlink! Accompanied by his brand new chart-topping Rottun Recordings release “The Swarm EP”, and backed by a massive 50,000 watt PK Sound System designed specifically for dubstep, it’s guaranteed that no sub-bass frequency will be left behind. Visit http://facebook.com/Antiserum for a list of upcoming tour dates!

A vital contributor to the San Francisco dubstep movement, Antiserum’s Bay Area roots emerged through the fog in 2008 when he produced one of the top 10 best-selling dubstep tracks of the year. Widely known for his innovative and meticulously crafted sounds, rich euphoric beats, and vast futuristic soundscapes, Antiserum’s style of West Coast bass music truly resides in a class of its own. His production steeps in hip hop, reggae, and heavy metal, with cinematic vibes that balance between both dark and light environments.

Established by a tectonic bassline of 140bpm, his live performances deliver solid energy and loads of original and unreleased material for the dance floor. His numerous vinyl and digital releases can be found on Dub Police (Caspa), Argon, Rottun, Scum, and True Score Theory to name a few. Antiserum has toured Canada, New Zealand, and Australia – with another overseas tour in the works for later this year!

.:.BANDIIT (CHI).:.
(Wolf Pack, Furthersound)

Bandiit is the creation of two Wolf Pack co-founders, Chris Hemstreet and Sean McCarthy or WSK and The Car Thief. With their conception in the summer of 2010, these two started playing together to form their passion for bass heavy musics on one stage to as many people as possible. Whether its one person, or thousands, these two bring a kind of energy and aura of people who truly have nothing but a passion for the music, and the urge to perform.

Playing along side some of dubsteps heavyweights, these two bring tunes to the picture that will rock you in your boots. Bring an open mind, and a good attitude and it will be impossible not to grove to the style that makes up the duo, Bandiit.

.:.HEEZY VS MOHAWK (STL).:.
(Nasty Rumor)

Mohawk vs. Heezy is a DJ tag-team from St. Louis dedicated to playing the very heaviest dubstep, glitch-hop and electronic bass music. This duo pits Heezy — STL’s busiest dubstep promoter and a renowned expert in reggae dubstep — against the cutting-edge producer and digital guru known as The Mohawk. The result is some serious wreckage, as they one-up each other with deep wobbles and crazy effects to create a brutal sonic experience. This high-energy sound got them nominated for the 2010 Riverfront Times Music Awards and opening slots for Lazer Sword, Mimosa, Bombaman, Hulk and more. You can check them out every Monday night with “The Wrek Sessions” on Electrolouis.com internet radio, but the full experience needs to be felt in person — M v H defines heavy. You’ve been warned!

.:.SUBNOXIOUS (CHI).:.
(Dubliminal.com, Wolf Pack)

If there is any question as to what kind of dubstep this Chicago filth-fiend plays, just look at his name, Subnoxious. Known for his rowdy tune selection and ridiculously quick mixing, Subnoxious has captured the eyes and ears of the Chicago dubstep community in an extremely short period of time. Going through as many as 45+ tracks an hour, you can rest assured he’ll have your head banging all night long. Embodying the “All killer, no filler” approach, it is this mentality that has him touring and playing alongside some of the scenes biggest names. Subnoxious is also the founder of the North American dubstep blog, DUBliminal.COM, his other outlet for serving up fresh filth to the masses. All I can say is that you better come prepared to be worn out.

(Party Like Us, Trouble & Bass)

Udachi is gearing up for two monstrous releases early in the new year. Feb 4th he will be christening the new series on Party Like Us Records, Party Animals. When he wasn’t busy touring this past year, Udachi managed to pump out over 12 releases between Party Like Us, Palms Out Sounds and Nightshifters. We are currently building a tour in support of his Stumble EP out February 1st.

www.myspace.com/udachi

.:. TROWA (LA).:.
(Play Me Records, Westbay Music)

One of the most promising new artists in 2011 are Trowa. A duo of historical proportions, Trowa (Metaphase & Philthy B.) are making waves with their remixes of Cassius, Keith MacKenzie and originals on Reid Speed’s Play Me Records. No strangers to the scene both of these cats have been cranking out sonic bliss for a minute now. Through their manipulation of sound waves, TROWA takes form through many styles, channeling high-energy music that elevates listeners beyond the construct of society’s dubious ways.

Their recent remix on West Bay of Armanni Reigns’ “Follow Me Now” has seen support from Antiserum, MRK1, Reid Speed, Bare, Mark Instinct, and more. Currently, collaborations with the Villains, Armanni Reign, Flinch, Run-DMT, and the Juggernaut, are all yielding massive results and are just the beginning of Trowas’ emerging sound. Check out their fast-paced, high energy mixing style in ‘Superluminal’, Trowa’s full length Dubstep mix.

The first EP of original work titled Bollywood Bandit, is available through Play Me Records and you can now grab one of their remixes on Armanni Reigns’ Off The Grid EP, forthcoming on Atlantic Connections’ Westbay Music Group.

(Nasty Rumor, Killnoize)

Hailing from Springfield, IL Armando Zuniga aka “MonDope” is a fresh force to be reckoned with. Although he has only been performing and promoting for a short period of time, MonDope is no stranger to the scene. With an eclectic arsenal of music ranging from metal to hip-hop and underground, as well as many different forms of electronic music, there is never a dull moment in his sets. In the summer of 2010 Mondope came together with other local DJs to form Killinoize, a production company interested in bringing the new wave of bass music to Illinois’ own capitol city. Killinoize quickly gained a following of like-minded enthusiasts and bass heads in the region. Mondope’s sets are energetic and demand your attention. He will bring anything from glitch-hop to dubstep, drum & bass, crunk, breaks, funk and even jungle/reggae to the dance floor. Able to feel out any crowd at any moment, MonDope delivers a HEADY blend to get down to. Expect the best of this rising artist in 2011!

.:.VASKI.:.
(Rottun Recordings, Play Me Too)

When DJ/Producer Vaski sent his demo to rottun manager Excision, he had no idea of the journey that he was beginning. With his first two tracks storming the beatport top ten charts, Vaski hit the studio, returning to his Electro House production roots for the massive Terror Dome EP, featuring the self-titled track as well as the hit single “You Wouldn’t Understand,” Peaking again in the top ten of dubstep on beatport. Vaski’s productions and local DJ sets began to gain attention of international promoters and DJ’st. Vaski spent the next season DJing at many Twin Cities venues, playing at the famed First Ave, Dinkytowner, and The Loft all the while working on his next work. World on Fire EP shook not only the beatport charts but the entire dubstep community. All five tracks peaked in the top 25 in dubstep on beatport, two tracks in the top ten, and the famous “Get Down” claiming its rightful place as a number one hit. This massive release rocketed Vaski to where he is today: smashing through his international tour, gaining rapid popularity for his unconventional stage presence, and continuously producing ridiculous and catchy bass lines. On the horizon for Vaski is the continuation of his tour, and his biggest production to date.

http://www.myspace.com/vaski

.:.SYMBL.:.
(Simplify, Play Me, Subhuman, Trillbass)

In the world of bass-oriented dance music, SYMBL aka Rick Simons wears several different caps including producer, engineer, deejay, and, last but not least, speaker destroyer. With nearly a decade of experience manipulating low-end frequencies, SYMBL possesses an understanding of subbass not held by most musicians. As a producer, SYMBL’s tracks have seen several releases on prominent drum-n-bass and dubstep record labels. As an engineer, he’s molded the sound of some of your favorite tunes.

SYMBL made his first appearance on the international dance music stage with strong collaborations on dnb labels Outbreak, LTD and Hate Recordings with Silent Killer and Mumblz in 2005 under his Tek Infektion alias. Within months, he teamed-up with partner-in-crime James Osborn aka Point of Reference to form the now infamous group Arsenic, and the duo proceeded to take on drum-n-bass using their own brand of sonic deviance. The group’s melee spawned several releases on labels such as Freak and Evol Intent and garnered the support of heavyweight DJs Dieselboy, Mary Anne Hobbs, Technical Itch, Dylan, Current Value, SPL, Ewun, Chris Renegade, DJ Syze, Breaker, Audio, Kano, and Demo.

Late in 2008 as the world of dance music shifted towards dubstep, SYMBL began to stray from drum-n-bass into the new genre. The new direction found SYMBL in the studio with stateside dubstep pioneers TRiLLBASS crafting a thunderously distorted remix of the hip-hop anthem “Swagger Like Us”. The world-wide reaction to “Swagger” inspired SYMBL to spend more time working in the 140 BPM range, which, then, spawned the track “Crumbs” that was featured on Betamorph Recordings’ compilation Betamorphisis Vol. 1. This is also when SYMBL, the engineer, began mastering releases for dubstep labels Betamorph, Dirty Circuit, Savory Audio, Filthy Digital, Stupid Fly, Abducted, Dubfront, Dubsaw, Bass Punch, Bassweight and the newly formed Dub Cartel. 2009 saw the release of Meh., a solo LP from SYMBL on TRiLLBASS Digital Recordings and several collaborations with fellow dubstep monsters Mark Instinct and Richie August. Meh., was an expression of SYMBL’s desire to move beyond the dancefloor and wobble into new venues and soundscapes. Complimenting the esoteric Meh,., the latter portion of 2009 found SYMBL slamming out several dubstep bootlegs in his new Bro’d Out series including his massively infectious “City Lights” remix with Mark Instinct. If 2009 was the Year of Dubstep, it was also the year that SYMBL turned dubstep on it’s head.

The new year looks brights for the Midwestern LFO warrior. Between his solo efforts, a revival of Arsenic, and his new collaboration with DJ Syze, SYMBL’s name will never be far from the tip of your tongue in 2010.

.:.TRIPP SYNDICATE.:.
(Betamorph, Bro Town)
Featuring Nameloc, Ruckus & MC Anti

Overlooking Tripp Street in Chicago, Illinois is a room. Filled with subwoofers and computer screens, it was here that Tripp Syndicate first came to be. Nameloc, The Producer, Ruckus, The DJ, Anti, The MC, united to form a single unit. The unit’s purpose? Complete dance floor meltdown. With a combined 30 years in the game Tripp Syndicate has all of the training needed to accomplish it’s mission. These three shadowy figures bring a true spectacle to whatever venue they play. True four turntable sets, punctuated by the tectonic growl of an MC referred to often as “Chicago’s Madman”.

Nameloc’s crisp production stands out whenever he drops one of his tracks, and his machinelike timing makes him the permanent focal point of Tripp’s Sets. Ruckus’ psychedelic delivery and hip hop style turntablism puts the bounce in your step, his lightning fast dips into roaring baselines provides a touch of madness to the night.

Tripp in its short time together has already opened for some of the titans of the industry, such as: 6 Blocc aka R.A.W, HULK, Symbl, Trowa, Pendulum, VibeSquaD and Vaski. The list while potent does not eclipse Tripp’s Success at headlining its own sold out shows. It did however attract the patronage of Chicago label Bro Town Records and Florida based Betamorph Records. Together Tripp Syndicate delivers a powerful, energetic show, blown at crowds at a frenetic pace. Do not miss these bass junkies as they deliver high doses of dub to dance floors in your town.

.:.BANDIIT.:.
(Wolf Pack, Furthersound, Filth Cabin)

Bandiit is the creation of two Wolf Pack co-founders, Chris Hemstreet and Sean McCarthy or WSK and The Car Thief. With their conception in the summer of 2010, these two started playing together to form their passion for bass heavy musics on one stage to as many people as possible. Whether its one person, or thousands, these two bring a kind of energy and aura of people who truly have nothing but a passion for the music, and the urge to perform.

Playing along side some of dubsteps heavyweights, these two bring tunes to the picture that will rock you in your boots. Bring an open mind, and a good attitude and it will be impossible not to grove to the style that makes up the duo, Bandiit.

.:.BASSPHREAK.:.
(SUB Culture, floasis.net, Vibetribe, Wicked Records)

Lurking amongst Chicago is a dubstep prodigy that has engraved his footprints over the underground scene. Emerging away from normality, bassphreaK drops intense basslines welcoming an abnormal yet authentic version of dubstep. Ears of many gather to experience his transformation of conventional beats into his smoothly warped interpretation of music.

In his first year of playing out, bassphreaK has already played alongside Midwest producers and local favorites such as Richie August, Nameloc, Item9, Danny The Wildchild, Dottcom, AutoAxon, Boogymon, DJ Belly and bit[c]rush in both clubs and underground events from Chicago to WIU and has even headlined in Kansas City as well as at the 2010 Chicago Liquid Conference.

Never being one to disappoint, this year will not be one to miss as bassphreaK’s continued growth will only ensure bigger, better smashing sets for your dance floor pleasure.
